The taller brother of the AC 250-5

DEMAG AC220-5

When even the AC 250-5 is not long enough to reach the top, it is time for its taller brother to step into the ring. With a main boom length of 78 meters, the AC 220-5 has the longest main boom length of any 5-axle crane. Although the Terex team had to reduce its lifting capacity with 30 tons to keep it safe, this crane is still capable of making the toughest job like a walk in the park!

Besides being the tallest 5-axle crane around, the AC 220-5 is also the most compact crane in its class with a total length of 14.5 meters and a carrier width of 3 meters. And as a member of the Terex-Demag family, the crane has a lot of other features to offer. This all terrain titan combines the latest technology with superior design and sustainable performance, as we are used to from Demag cranes.

Same extensive detailing, even longer reach

Just like the AC 250, this 1:50 diecast scale model of its taller brother, the AC 220-5, comes with numerous functions and details. The upper structure cabin can be angled upwards and the side step catwalk of the cabin can be pulled out.  The four outriggers are extendible as well and can be placed on the supplied outrigger mats. This gives a realistic picture and allows the wheels to actually lift from the ground. The ballast and cheek weights are also included.

To make this model even more realistic and therefore longer than the 250t, the boom section can be extended up to seven times, which looks very impressive! The boom can be made even longer by connecting the JIB to it. As an option, you can position the JIB in different angles.

The detailing is extensive and includes four moveable ladders, blind spot mirrors, roof beacons, and high-quality tampon printing of signs, logos and symbols.

This model is packed up in official Demag packaging and includes a detailed manual.
